Realising that simply offering a leadership development programme was never going to be enough, by itself, to actually achieve the vision and strategy our client organisations sought. It has to be a whole organisation change where everything that happens is commissioned in the service of a coherent vision. Setting up Strategic Resource allowed me to provide a ‘no compromise’ approach to business development.
I was a psychologist in the UK health service for 10 years and then spent a fruitful 5 years working with two UK based management consultancy firms.
I find working at the formation of strategy and in its delivery highly motivating. I get immense pleasure from seeing business set and reach their vision. It’s a kind of magic. I also know that no organisational change is ever effective unless the senior team lead by example. The first change has to start with them.
A CEO/President who is just setting out on the next phase of growth for their business and whose long-term plan is to triple their enterprise value. They have a healthy scepticism about management consultants and expect to see a solid return on investment for any work they commission.
